Yasmin Rafiei is Reporter-in-Residence at the University of California Berkeley\u2019s Investigative Reporting Program. She is also an M.D. candidate at Stanford University. Her journalism focuses on health care reform. Rafiei\u2019s latest investigation, on private equity-owned nursing homes, was published in The New Yorker. She has also been published in The Guardian, Foreign Policy, The Globe & Mail and The New England Journal of Medicine, among others. Her work is informed by experience in health policy. Rafiei has worked as an advisor to Canada\u2019s COVID Task Force; an analyst at Chatham House, a global affairs think tank; and she\u2019s completed graduate studies in politics, philosophy, and economics at Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar.<\/p>\n
