Jonathan Gibson

Jonathan is an AI reporter based in Washington DC. Previously, Jonathan lived in London, and worked on the intersection of emerging technology and international relations, with a particular focus on US-China and UK-China relations. Jonathan was a research manager on the AI Governance Fast Track, as well as a Pivotal Fellow, and worked in think tanks and NGOs such as the Cyberpeace Institute.
Jonathan holds a BSc from LSE in Politics and International Relations. In his second year, he travelled around Europe interviewing Coptic refugee priests, from which he co-authored an academic paper. He also regularly debated on national television and radio about UK politics and policy. Through the Tarbell Fellowship, Jonathan will be working at The Dispatch.
