Cain Hillier

Cain Hillier is a 2025-26 Tarbell Fellow at Newcomer, based in London. He will be reporting on the inner workings of the AI startup and venture capital industry. Cain previously worked as a technical writer at Schneider Electric and a researcher at the European Institute of Asian Studies.

Cain holds an MPhil in Global Risk and Resilience from the University of Cambridge, where he wrote about organisational behaviour in frontier AI labs. He also holds bachelor’s degrees from Sciences Po Paris and the University of Sydney.
